Bilingual Aide/Interpreter, Spanish, English

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Provide interpretation services for virtual therapy treatment sessions and evaluations.

• Organize Zoom therapy sessions in collaboration with speech or occupational therapists.

• Translate both written and spoken materials across languages.

• Clearly explain and communicate therapeutic procedures along with specialized terminology.

• Manage therapeutic documents and related terminology.

• Access necessary reference materials to fulfill interpretation responsibilities.

• Act as administrative support when required.

• Execute additional projects as assigned by the supervisor.

• Report to the designated manager on-site.

• Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.

• Work in either a facility or an approved home care setting as needed.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is mandatory.

• Outstanding reading and comprehension abilities.

• Excellent writing capabilities.

• Proficient in both English and Spanish.

• Familiarity with interpreting techniques is essential.

• Understanding of cultural and linguistic differences that impact communication.

• Ability to translate documents, letters, therapeutic instructions, registration information, consents, and various other materials.

• Capability to provide precise, high-quality interpretation under pressure.

• Knowledge of terminology related to speech, occupational, and physical therapy.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Proficient in using Zoom.

• Strong clerical skills are required.

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

• High school diploma or equivalent is needed.

• Willingness to work on Saturdays and Sundays.

• An associate degree is preferred.

• At least one year of interpreting experience or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience is required.

• Ability to meet the physical demands outlined for this role.
