πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Design and take ownership of innovative and dependable Guidance, Navigation, and Control solutions for our autonomous aircraft fleet to enhance business outcomes and achieve commercial success.

β€’ Offer expertise in diverse sensor modalities, such as GNSS and inertial systems, and their integration into extensive autonomous aircraft systems.

β€’ Analyze GNSS sensor data from prototypes to large-scale production environments to inform requirements and designs, implementing solutions that enhance performance for business impact and commercial success.

β€’ Develop analyses, set requirements, draft and review design documents, implement code, and execute verification and validation of production-ready flightworthy software utilizing MATLAB, Python, and/or C++.

β€’ Disseminate in-depth technical knowledge to the broader team regarding GNSS and inertial navigation modalities, encompassing design, implementation, verification, and validation techniques.

β€’ Collaborate across various functions, including aircraft software, perception, hardware, and testing teams.

β€’ Create filtering solutions, such as Kalman Filters and other linear and non-linear filters, to integrate data from multiple sensor technologies.

β€’ Conduct trade studies for sensor and algorithm designs, and perform risk assessments for various algorithm types as applied to real-world situations.

β€’ Maintain ownership and awareness of systems throughout the entire lifecycle: from concept and design to implementation, lab and flight testing, evaluation, fielding, and support.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Over 8 years of experience in Guidance, Navigation, and Control for aerospace systems.

β€’ MS degree, PhD, or equivalent practical experience in Aerospace, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

β€’ Proven experience with multi-sensor fusion navigation systems for aerospace applications, including GNSS/INS integration.

β€’ Proficiency in writing embedded safety-critical software in C++, MATLAB, and/or Python.

β€’ Technical depth in at least two of the following areas: aircraft dynamics and control, multi-modal sensor fusion, contingency management, GNSS position engine development, INS/GNSS navigation system development, UAV path planning algorithms, and/or GNC simulation and data analysis.

β€’ Expertise in Kalman Filtering and other estimation techniques.
