• Accountable for the sourcing, onboarding, and strategic alignment of national provider network accounts to meet organizational network and service delivery requirements.
• Act as the main relationship manager for designated national accounts, establishing structured business meetings and maintaining proactive communication to ensure performance, issue resolution, and alignment with the organization's objectives.
• Negotiate provider contract terms and reimbursement rates to establish financially responsible, sustainable, and mutually advantageous agreements.
• Record key discussions, action items, and follow-ups, ensuring precise and timely documentation within designated systems.
• Work collaboratively with analytics and operations teams to evaluate volume trends, capacity needs, performance metrics, and identify opportunities for network optimization.
• Propel account growth by increasing provider locations, onboarding new providers, introducing additional service lines, and uncovering new national account opportunities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, and operational leadership to complete contract terms, assess rate strategies, ensure margin alignment, and support special service arrangements as necessary.
• Keep accurate records of provider rosters, contract documentation, and account details; manage workflow items until resolution in accordance with established service standards.
• Coordinate with scheduling and operations teams to enhance service delivery workflows and address operational challenges.
• Work with Credentialing to gather, review, and submit credentialing documentation for provider onboarding, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Take part in internal meetings and enterprise initiatives to contribute to continuous improvement and network performance objectives.
• Carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business, Science, or a related health field, or equivalent experience/combined education is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in provider network management, contracting, national account management, or healthcare operations.
• Required experience in negotiating provider contracts and managing rate structures.
• Preferred experience in federal healthcare programs or occupational health services.
• Strong skills in provider network contracting and negotiation.
• Proven capability to manage key national accounts and achieve measurable business outcomes.
• Demonstrated financial acumen and a solid understanding of rate discipline.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail and follow-up.
• Capacity to work independently and prioritize competing demands.
• Ability to independently set and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in CRM/PRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions in a matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel 15% or more may be required.
• Must successfully pass the National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.
