• Accountable for the sourcing, onboarding, and strategic alignment of national ancillary vendors in line with enterprise growth objectives.
• Act as the main relationship manager for designated national accounts, establishing structured business rhythm meetings and maintaining proactive communication to ensure performance, issue resolution, and alignment with organizational goals.
• Oversee the negotiation and execution of national ancillary and diagnostic provider agreements, structuring financially responsible rate methodologies.
• Collaborate with Finance and leadership to evaluate reimbursement models and support rate modeling initiatives aimed at standardizing pricing across the enterprise.
• Keep accurate records of key discussions, action items, and follow-ups, ensuring timely and precise record maintenance within designated systems.
• Work alongside analytics and operations teams to evaluate volume trends, capacity needs, performance metrics, and opportunities for network optimization.
• Identify and implement opportunities to broaden ancillary and diagnostic services across new locations, lines of business, and existing accounts.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of ancillary provider rosters, contract documentation, and records, guaranteeing that contract terms, rates, and service scopes are properly documented and operationalized.
• Coordinate with Credentialing to ensure adherence to diagnostic service requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance scheduling workflows and address operational challenges.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business, Science, or a related health field, or equivalent experience/combined education is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in provider network management, contracting, national account management, or healthcare operations.
• Required experience in negotiating provider contracts and managing rate structures.
• Preferred experience working in federal healthcare programs or occupational health services.
• Strong skills in provider network contracting and negotiation specifically related to ancillary and diagnostic service agreements.
• Proven track record in managing key national accounts and achieving measurable business results.
• Demonstrated financial acumen and understanding of rate discipline.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail and follow-up.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands.
• Capable of independently setting and meeting deadlines.
• Proficient in CRM/PRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions in a matrixed organization.
• Proven experience in negotiating laboratory, imaging, vision, or specialty diagnostic agreements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel 15% or more may be required.
• Must successfully pass the National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.
