• Manage the representation of all Sobi Canada products and services to our customer base to drive sales growth and meet revenue and profitability targets.
• This role will report directly to the VP, General Manager of Canada.
• Motivate and guide the sales team to realize the commercial goals for Sobi Canada.
• Establish national and regional sales objectives; ensure these goals are met or surpassed in a professional, compliant, ethical, and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop and implement strategic sales plans that align with the Sobi Canada vision and current market conditions.
• Supervise the utilization of effective selling techniques to enhance product understanding and appropriate patient identification.
• Support Key Opinion Leader (KOL) advocacy and facilitate company-sponsored learning activities and speaker programs as necessary.
• Build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally.
• Work alongside the Head of Marketing and cross-functional colleagues for strategic planning and the creation of approved materials for commercial staff use.
• Identify opportunities, trends, obstacles, and market conditions to optimize sales performance.
• Ensure that roles, responsibilities, and expectations are clearly communicated among all internal team members.
• Utilize productivity metrics to aid the team in achieving assigned goals and objectives, thereby increasing sales and profitability.
• Prepare and present to a variety of internal (e.g., executive team) and external audiences.
• Responsible for the hiring, onboarding, and conducting performance reviews for direct reports within the Sales Team.
• Conduct all Company business in accordance with applicable regulations and Company policies and procedures.
• Uphold high ethical and performance standards in all business interactions.
• Travel required: at least 40%.
• A BA/BS degree is required; an advanced scientific degree (Master's or higher) is preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including specialty product sales (rare/orphan diseases).
• At least 3 years of experience managing field-based pharmaceutical sales teams.
• Proven experience in managing both direct and indirect reports and contributing to cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated success in all aspects of sales: technical knowledge, selling techniques, data interpretation and analysis, and a deep understanding of the medical/pharmaceutical industry.
• Previous experience in product launches and/or brand/portfolio growth in competitive settings is required.
• Proficiency in hiring, onboarding, training, and supervising sales teams.
• Exceptional project management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strategic aptitude to develop and execute comprehensive sales plans.
• Successful experience in budget management, revenue forecasting, and expense tracking.
• Up-to-date knowledge of Canadian legal, regulatory, and compliance standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, resolve conflicts, and achieve consensus across diverse cultures and disciplines.
• Above-average proficiency with technology tools (MS-Office, Veeva CRM, Salesforce, etc.).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% as required.
