This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop a sales strategy tailored for each AWS Public Sector target segment, including Higher Education, State & Local Government, Edtech/GovTech, and NPO.
• Propel the sales of professional services, accelerators, and solutions, accurately forecasting and achieving strategic objectives by guiding customers through the complete business cycle.
• Establish and strengthen executive relationships within the AWS regional and practice ecosystem to foster new business prospects.
• Shape long-term strategic direction alongside customers and act as a business partner to them.
• Oversee intricate sales cycles, frequently presenting to C-level executives.
• Lead account strategy to generate and cultivate business growth opportunities, collaborating with Internal GTM and AWS alliance teams to optimize business outcomes in the territory and create opportunities with customers.
• Gain a thorough understanding of each customer’s technology footprint, strategic growth plans, business drivers, technology strategy, and landscape.
• Collaborate with the Delivery team to create proposals and Statements of Work.
• Ensure deal profitability.
• Assess customer satisfaction and serve as the ‘voice of the customer’.
• At least 10 years of direct Public Sector sales and leadership experience.
• Management experience in Professional Services sales leadership within a non-product consulting firm.
• Minimum of 10 years Professional Services sales experience (excluding software companies).
• Proven experience selling through or with AWS sellers and the partner organization.
• Previous experience with AWS customers and established relationships with key AWS Public Sector Sellers is advantageous.
• Familiarity with data & analytics, cloud migrations, application modernization, and AI/ML projects addressing various use cases.
• Capability to collaborate with the internal GTM Pre-sales Team to spearhead sales efforts across AWS Public Sector segments.
• Experience engaging with senior (C-level) executives to shape decisions at the executive level.
• Technical expertise in AWS Cloud and experience in customer service delivery.
• Proven track record of leading and effectively managing globally distributed teams across cultures, business lines, and regions.
• Strong executive presence and leadership capabilities, with communication and interpersonal skills that inspire and motivate leaders and teams.
• Exhibit excellence in analytical thinking, problem solving, communication, delegation, planning & organization, and judgment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt swiftly to changing business priorities and remain comfortable in ambiguous situations.
• Eager and capable of addressing escalated client issues with promptness and urgency.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• Candidate must reside in the East or Central regions of the US with the capacity to travel up to 50% of the time.
