National Commercial Underwriting Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Manage substantial volumes of documents and time-sensitive materials related to transaction matters

• Strategically plan and execute assignments utilizing expertise and judgment

• Apply underwriting standards and guidelines within designated authority limits

• Underwrite the issuance of title insurance policies

• Offer guidance on real estate settlement services

• Provide underwriting support, advice, and approvals to company personnel, agents, and clients

• Facilitate the issuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policies

• Establish underwriting standards and guidelines in accordance with defined company procedures

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree

• Active and current member of a State Bar

• Over 10 years of experience as a Commercial Underwriting Counsel

• Capability to cultivate, develop, and sustain professional and collaborative working relationships

• Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex legal documents

• Ability to apply logic or legal principles to intricate problems

• Familiarity with the title insurance sector, including products, policies, and endorsements

• Knowledge of commercial insurance coverage and real estate terminology

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities

• Capability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Keen attention to detail and organizational skills

• Proficient in computer software systems such as Microsoft Office

• Willingness and capability to learn and utilize new software systems

• Required fluency in the English language
