
National Account Manager – Strategic End Users

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Take ownership and foster a strategic national account relationship with a prominent general contractor, aiming to enhance DEWALT's visibility across jobsites, regions, and project teams.
• Create and implement a multi-year account strategy to boost the acceptance of inherently safe tools, connected jobsite solutions, and standardized equipment platforms.
• Establish DEWALT as a strategic partner by aligning customer priorities focused on safety, productivity, uptime, and workforce efficiency with customized solutions.
• Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within safety, field operations, procurement, project leadership, and senior management.
• Spot opportunities to replace higher-risk or less efficient methods with safer, more productive DEWALT solutions.
• Lead customer business reviews, account planning sessions, and implementation roadmaps linked to measurable business and jobsite outcomes.
• Propel pilot programs, field evaluations, and rollout plans that ensure successful adoption and long-term standardization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including, but not limited to, field sales, trade specialists, product teams, training resources, and marketing to provide a coordinated customer experience.
• Track pipeline, account performance, adoption trends, and forecast accuracy; relay progress and opportunities to internal leadership.
• Collect customer insights regarding jobsite needs, safety challenges, and emerging trends to guide product development and market strategies.
• Represent DEWALT in a professional manner during customer meetings, job sites, trade events, and industry engagements.
• Bachelor's degree in business, Construction Management, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in national account management, strategic sales, business development, enterprise selling, or similar sectors.
• Background working with large general contractors, construction firms, industrial distributors, or professional end users; knowledgeable about contractor buying processes, field operations, and construction safety protocols.
• Familiarity with large-scale commercial, civil, infrastructure, or industrial construction sectors.
• Proven capability to manage complex, multi-level customer relationships across geographically diverse organizations.
• Experience with professional power tools, hand tools, accessories, storage, jobsite technology, or construction safety solutions is highly preferred.
• Change management experience; supporting implementation and training in field-based environments is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in driving product adoption, standardization, or enterprise agreements within construction or industrial settings.
• Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and experience managing long-cycle, strategic opportunities.
• Willingness to travel 60% of the time, including overnight trips to customer offices, job sites, and internal meetings.
