This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +2 more states.
• Perform on-site inspections and field investigations for designated claims.
• Assess properties, structures, vehicles, equipment, or accident sites as dictated by assignments.
• Record damages, conditions, causation indicators, and other pertinent findings through notes, measurements, photographs, and diagrams.
• Analyze loss facts and assist in the investigation of coverage, liability, damages, and exposure.
• Collect statements from insured individuals, claimants, witnesses, or other relevant parties as necessary.
• Produce timely, accurate, and thoroughly documented reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with examiners, managers, carriers, policyholders, vendors, attorneys, and other claim participants as required.
• Ensure comprehensive file documentation is maintained in line with company standards, client directives, and regulatory requirements.
• Appropriately escalate complex issues, large-loss exposures, litigation indicators, or specialty claim concerns.
• Manage field assignments in accordance with service expectations, turnaround times, and quality standards.
• **Travel within the assigned NJ/NY/PA territory as required.**
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in field adjusting or related claims roles.
• Valid adjuster license(s) as mandated by New York, New Jersey, or other assigned jurisdictions.
• Current driver's license and dependable transportation.
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally within the designated territory.
• Excellent documentation, organizational, and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in using claims platforms, mobile documentation tools, and estimating/reporting systems.
• Experience in managing field claims related to property, liability, or both.
• Capability to work independently while overseeing deadlines, territory activities, and service expectations.
• Strong investigative mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional demeanor when engaging with insured individuals, claimants, attorneys, vendors, and carrier representatives.
• Ability to juggle multiple assignments and changing priorities in a dynamic field environment.
• Experience in handling both property and liability claims.
• Multi-line field experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial property, residential property, general liability, casualty, bodily injury, or transportation-related claims.
• Familiarity with estimating platforms such as Xactimate.
• Carrier certifications and multi-state licensing are advantageous.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
