This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee the design, development, and execution of APIs utilizing the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Create reusable MuleSoft components, connectors, RAML specifications, and comprehensive technical documentation.
• Design and maintain integration flows that connect various SaaS platforms.
• Manage the complete API lifecycle, encompassing design, versioning, mapping, testing, and deployment.
• Evaluate business and technical requirements to convert them into technical integration specifications and future-state workflows.
• Set up API security policies, gateways, SLAs, and continuous monitoring through MuleSoft administrative tools to guarantee secure data transmission.
• Engage in integration testing, design error handling, and conduct root-cause defect analysis.
• Collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders to confirm integration specifications.
• Deliver comprehensive knowledge transfer and integration best practices to internal County team members.
• Attend weekly status meetings with the Department's designated contact.
• Monitor integration defects and technical environment risks, classifying issues by severity (Critical, High, Medium, Low) in a weekly progress log.
• A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• More than 5 years of IT development experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with technical and non-technical team members.
• Must be a US Citizen or possess permanent resident status (Green Card).
• Capable of passing a drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks.
• Extensive, hands-on experience with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Anypoint Exchange, Runtime Manager, and expert-level proficiency in DataWeave.
• Proven track record of developing, deploying, and supporting REST APIs and specialized Mule applications.
• Strong understanding of API-led connectivity, microservices architecture, and enterprise integration patterns (EIP).
• Documented experience with the integration of two or more SaaS systems within an enterprise environment.
• Advanced skills in JSON, XML, RAML, OAuth2, TLS, and contemporary API security standards.
