Mulesoft Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and deploy secure, scalable, and reusable APIs and integrations utilizing the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Anypoint Studio, CloudHub, API Manager, Exchange).

• Implement integration architectures following best practices with MuleSoft’s 3-tier API-led connectivity approach (Experience, Process, and System APIs).

• Write clean and efficient DataWeave ($2.x$) transformations, configure routing, error handling policies, and reconnection strategies.

• Create reliable endpoints that connect ERPs, legacy databases, third-party REST/SOAP web services, and cloud environments.

• Engage in automated deployment pipelines (MUnit, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven) to ensure robust testing and maintain code quality.

• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Architects, and platform owners to identify data requirements while adhering to API governance standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on development experience on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.

• Proficient in DataWeave, Java, XML, JSON, and RAML/OAS for API specifications.

• Strong understanding of synchronous/asynchronous communication, pub/sub architectures, batch processing, and message queues (Anypoint MQ, RabbitMQ, or Kafka).

• Practical experience in implementing API security protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, TLS, and API policies).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; comfortable presenting technical integration flows to business stakeholders.

• Strong debugging abilities with skills to optimize slow-running database queries or API configurations that are bottlenecked.

• MuleSoft Certified Developer (Level 1) is highly preferred.

• Direct experience linking systems to Salesforce using the Salesforce MuleSoft Connector, Salesforce Composite APIs, Streaming API, or Change Data Capture (CDC) is a significant advantage.

• Knowledge of core Salesforce data models (Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Custom Objects) or experience with Salesforce Data Cloud / MuleSoft Composer is a notable advantage.
