This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Instruct 3 courses within the School of Counseling each academic year. (40% of effort)
β’ Implements strategic program leadership for the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program under the Dean of the Global Campus and VP of Academic Affairs / Provost, overseeing the entire student lifecycle from enrollment (e.g., group interviews) to graduation (including post-graduate licensure applications). (5% of effort)
β’ Manages the student advising program, which includes training faculty advisors, scheduling and conducting group interviews, and leading ongoing student advisement initiatives. (2% of effort)
β’ Supports the Dean of the Global Campus in leading efforts related to recruiting, interviewing, hiring, course scheduling, and evaluating the performance of adjunct, part-time, and full-time faculty for the CMHC / SOC programs; monitors student-to-faculty ratios and makes faculty hiring recommendations as necessary. (15% of effort)
β’ Aids the Dean of the Global Campus in spearheading student retention initiatives, including onboarding, orientation, ongoing advisement, and remediation. (4% of effort)
β’ Provides comprehensive leadership for clinical instruction and residencies for all cohorts, which encompasses course design and revision, faculty guidance, and student management; attends or is virtually available for all CMHC Residencies; participates in All-Faculty meetings and the annual graduation ceremony. (5% of effort)
β’ Oversees and provides leadership and guidance concerning current and future state licensure board compliance and the regulatory review committee. (3% of effort)
β’ Supervises and addresses issues related to CMHC student behavior and professional disposition as necessary. (2% of effort)
β’ Collaborates with the Dean of the Global Campus to ensure that program design, implementation, and standards align with regional (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges) and SOC or the latest program-level CACREP (Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs) accreditation standards. (5% of effort)
β’ Assists the Dean of the Global Campus in preparing essential accreditation reports, self-studies, and applications. (2% of effort)
β’ Organizes, sets the agenda for, and chairs all faculty and CMHC program meetings, while fostering ongoing faculty development and remediation as needed; monitors faculty OLS participation and student engagement. (2% of effort)
β’ Prepares the annual budget proposal and performs other assigned duties. (15% of effort)
β’ Fulfill CACREP requirements for core faculty.
β’ Hold a Doctoral degree in Counselor Education & Supervision from an accredited institution (related terminal degrees recognized by CACREP per Standards will be considered).
β’ Possess 2 or more years of postgraduate clinical experience.
β’ Have 3-5 years of teaching experience at the graduate level, preferably in counselor education.
β’ Exhibit proficiency in effectively teaching clinical counseling skills.
β’ Demonstrate experience, background, and/or knowledge in serving on committees in an academic environment, facilitating meetings, and coordinating student retention and the student academic lifecycle; administrative experience is preferred.
β’ Have familiarity with state regulatory compliance as well as programmatic and institutional accreditation, preferred.
β’ Possess excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
β’ Have 2 or more years of clinical supervision or educational leadership experience (preferred).
β’ Experience in curriculum and/or course design/enhancement is preferred.
β’ Have a clear understanding of the role of the CCMMP in the SOC curriculum (preferred).
