Mortgage Processor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of your files from submission through to closing, ensuring precision, thoroughness, and efficiency at every stage of the loan process.

• Assess new loan submissions for accuracy and completeness, ensuring that all necessary documentation is provided.

• Engage proactively, primarily via phone, with borrowers, loan officers, investors, and contractors to collect any missing items and address conditions.

• Prepare files for underwriting by confirming income, assets, liabilities, credit, and property documentation.

• Oversee your active pipeline, monitoring milestones, and ensuring all deadlines are met or surpassed.

• Recognize potential issues early and collaborate effectively to avoid delays or unexpected challenges.

• Keep detailed notes and updates in the Loan Origination System (LOS) to guarantee complete transparency for all stakeholders.

• Provide an outstanding experience for homeowners and loan officers, striking a balance between speed and accuracy.

• Contribute to ongoing improvement by offering insights on systems, workflows, and borrower experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in mortgage processing.

• Willingness to communicate by phone with both internal and external customers.

• Strong understanding of Agency, Non-QM, Portfolio, FHA, VA, and renovation loan products and their guidelines.

• Familiarity with loan origination systems.

• Proven capability to manage multiple files concurrently while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
