This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• The Loan Processor is tasked with overseeing the mortgage loan process from the application stage through to closing.
• This position entails collecting and verifying financial information, assessing loan applications for compliance, acting as a liaison between borrowers and underwriters, and collaborating with mortgage aggregators to guarantee a seamless and effective loan approval process.
• Gather and evaluate loan applications along with supporting documents to ensure they are complete and accurate.
• Request information from clients and conduct comprehensive reviews.
• Obtain and confirm necessary financial details, including income, assets, and credit reports.
• Perform credit checks and compare them with disclosed liabilities.
• Ensure that all loan applications adhere to Australian lending regulations and guidelines.
• Review Cashdeck for Livex and undisclosed liabilities.
• Serve as a conduit between borrowers, underwriters, mortgage aggregators, and other parties to facilitate the loan approval process.
• Collaborate closely with mortgage aggregators to submit loan applications, monitor progress, and address any arising issues.
• Order property valuations and manage the process from post-approval to settlement.
• Prepare and present loan files to mortgage lenders and banks for their approval.
• Monitor and follow up on loan applications to ensure timely processing and approval.
• Tackle and resolve any challenges or discrepancies that may occur during the loan processing phase.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to borrowers, responding to their inquiries and guiding them throughout the loan process.
• Conduct comprehensive credit reporting (CCR) and cross-check against disclosed liabilities.
• Request any outstanding documents based on CCR, including (if applicable): Credit card statements, personal loan statements, car loan statements, and HECS statements.
• Review Cashdeck (or any applicable software); utilize OpenBanking for undisclosed liabilities and cross-check against Declared Livex/HEM.
• Communicate with clients for any additional required information.
• Perform a high-level/initial serviceability check on Quickli (for PAYG/simple applications).
• Carry out pricing requests and product comparisons on a case-by-case basis.
• Prepare the AOL for submission.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Australian mortgage loan processing is essential.
• Strong knowledge of Australian mortgage lending regulations and guidelines is required.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities are necessary.
• Proficiency in mortgage processing software as well as the Microsoft Office Suite is expected.
• A solid understanding of mortgage underwriting processes and various loan types is crucial.
• High accuracy in reviewing and processing loan applications is mandatory.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently is required.
• A strong commitment to providing exceptional client service is essential.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is important.
• Dedication to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all interactions is crucial.
• Proficiency in utilizing CRM systems such as Quickli, Apply Online, Mercury, and Property Hub to manage client interactions is necessary.
• Familiarity with mortgage aggregator platforms like AFG, Connective, SFG, or PLAN Australia is preferred.
