Mortgage Loan Originator – Outside

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Initiate residential mortgage loans following company protocols and lending regulations.

• Perform borrower interviews to collect financial data and evaluate eligibility.

• Analyze applicant financial documents to identify suitable loan programs.

• Inform clients about loan products, terms, and processes.

• Submit comprehensive loan applications for processing, approval, and underwriting.

• Keep precise records within the loan origination system.

• Follow up with clients, processors, and underwriters as necessary.

• Work in conjunction with internal departments to facilitate seamless loan closings.

• Achieve set productivity and quality targets.

• Stay updated on lending policies, compliance standards, and industry developments.

• Assist in loan production efforts at the branch and may receive overrides on qualified loans generated by other Mortgage Loan Originators.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Valid NMLS license as mandated by state and federal regulations.

• Prior experience in mortgage lending or financial services is preferred.

• College coursework or a degree is preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Capability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.

• Familiarity with loan origination systems and Microsoft Office applications.

• Must fulfill Outside Sales Exemption criteria under the FLSA and relevant state regulations.

• A significant portion of work time should be dedicated to conducting sales activities away from the employer’s premises.
