Mortgage Loan Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Originate and oversee purchase mortgage loans from the application stage to closing.

• Transform company-generated purchase leads into funded loans through proactive follow-up efforts.

• Cultivate strong relationships with clients and Zillow Preferred Agents.

• Manage an active loan pipeline while adhering to established service level agreements.

• Utilize Zillow’s CRM, loan origination systems, and data analytics tools to maintain pipeline health.

• Collaborate with centralized processing, underwriting, and closing teams to facilitate efficient loan progression.

• Provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience through effective communication.

• Keep up-to-date with market trends, lending programs, and regulatory standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mortgage origination, particularly focused on purchase transactions.

• Active NMLS Loan Originator with appropriate state licenses or functioning as a Loan Originator under a federal banking license.

• Completion of the 20-hour CORE Pre-Licensing Education course.

• Successful completion of the SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator Test – National Component with Uniform State Content.

• Demonstrated success in originating purchase loans in a high-volume, phone-driven sales environment or through an agent-centric referral model.

• Strong client service focus coupled with consultative sales abilities.

• Comfortable operating in a structured, performance-oriented setting with clearly defined key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Exceptional verbal communication skills.

• Strong organizational, time management, and pipeline management abilities.

• Proficiency in CRM systems, loan origination software, and Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
