Mortgage Loan Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Initiate and oversee the process of purchasing mortgage loans from application to closing, ensuring adherence to all regulations.

• Transform company-generated purchase leads into funded loans through diligent follow-up and effective consultations with borrowers.

• Establish robust relationships with clients and, when applicable, with Zillow Preferred Agents and local collaborators.

• Maintain an active pipeline while achieving established service levels, productivity targets, and funding goals.

• Utilize Zillow’s CRM, loan origination systems (LOS), and analytics tools to enhance pipeline management and customer interaction.

• Collaborate with centralized processing, underwriting, and closing teams to facilitate the efficient movement of loans.

• Provide a consistently high-quality customer experience through communication via phone, email, and text.

• Stay updated on market trends, lending options, and regulatory changes to offer customized financing solutions.

• Keep licenses current, fulfill educational requirements, and engage in ongoing professional development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mortgage origination, particularly focused on purchase transactions.

• Successful completion of the 20-hour CORE Pre-Licensing Education and passing the SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator Test – National Component with Uniform State Content.

• Must be physically located in and work remotely from New Mexico.

• Demonstrated success in originating purchase loans within either a high-volume, phone-based sales environment or an agent-focused referral model.

• Strong customer service skills with a consultative sales approach and in-depth knowledge of the mortgage process.

• Comfortable operating in a structured, performance-oriented setting with clearly defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Exceptional verbal communication abilities and a knack for quickly establishing trust.

• Excellent time management, organizational, and pipeline oversight skills.

• Proficiency in CRM, LOS, and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
