This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Source and oversee purchase mortgage loans from the application stage to closing, ensuring adherence to all compliance standards.
• Transform company-generated purchase opportunities into funded loans through proactive follow-up and effective borrower consultations.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients and, where applicable, with Zillow Preferred Agents and local collaborators.
• Manage an active loan pipeline while achieving established service levels, productivity goals, and funding expectations.
• Utilize Zillow’s CRM, loan origination systems (LOS), and data-driven resources to maintain pipeline health and enhance customer engagement.
• Collaborate with centralized processing, underwriting, and closing teams to facilitate efficient loan processing.
• Provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience through phone, email, and text communications.
• Keep abreast of market trends, lending programs, and regulatory requirements to offer customized financing solutions.
• Maintain current licensing, complete necessary education, and engage in ongoing professional development.
• Over 3 years of mortgage origination experience, particularly in purchase transactions.
• Active NMLS Loan Originator with state licenses or functioning as a Loan Originator under a federal banking license.
• Completion of the 20-hour CORE Pre-Licensing Education and successful passing of the SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator Test – National Component with Uniform State Content.
• Demonstrated success in originating purchase loans in either a high-volume, phone-based sales environment or an agent-centric referral model.
• Strong client service focus combined with consultative sales abilities and a comprehensive understanding of the mortgage process.
• Comfortable operating within a structured, performance-oriented environment characterized by clear KPIs.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a knack for establishing trust rapidly.
• Strong skills in time management, organization, and pipeline oversight.
• Proficient in CRM, LOS, and Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
