Mortgage Loan Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Generate new mortgage business and promote the mortgage products offered by Empower FCU.

• Guide borrowers through the processes of pre-qualification and pre-approval.

• Assist with loan applications and ensure timely submission to the underwriting department.

• Manage the distribution of required disclosure packages and collect necessary documentation.

• Order essential services and perform financial calculations.

• Maintain relationships throughout the Western NY region.

• Develop connections with realtors, builders, and third-party partners.

• Utilize proprietary lending software and tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience working as a mortgage loan officer.

• An associate's degree in business, finance, or a related field.

• Must be able to qualify and maintain licensing through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).

• Must possess a valid driver's license and uphold a clean driving record.

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Encompass, Nautilus, and SalesForce.

• Strong understanding of underwriting requirements and experience with various mortgage products.

• Ability to interpret credit reports, appraisals, and other financial documents.

• Detail-oriented with the capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
