Mortgage Loan Closing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for all tasks and challenges associated with the assigned role.

• Produce and generate the Closing Disclosure along with mortgage closing documentation.

• Examine documents for loan funding, ensuring compliance with all requirements and regulations.

• Adhere to SouthState Bank's Corporate Code of Conduct and Ethics, as well as all regulatory mandates.

• Gather all necessary information to complete the Closing Disclosure (CD) and deliver it within specified timeframes.

• Execute Mavent runs, reviewing and clearing as necessary.

• Liaise with settlement agents and attorneys, reviewing title requirements and exceptions.

• Inspect documentation within the loan system or input data into the loan system.

• Draft closing instructions and verify the accuracy of required loan documentation and the Closing Disclosure.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• 2 to 4 years of experience in residential mortgage lending.

• 2 to 4 years of experience in residential mortgage loan closing.

• Preferred working knowledge of Encompass LOS, though not mandatory.
