This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Sources residential mortgages by establishing connections with Realtors, builders, and developers.
• Cultivates referral partnerships with Community Development Organizations and engages in Community Development initiatives.
• Conducts interviews with loan applicants and makes informed credit decisions.
• Collaborates with the designated branch office to promote awareness of home loan offerings.
• Manages referrals from the branch office and ensures appropriate follow-up actions.
• Builds a network of referral contacts, including realtors, builders, and both professional and personal connections.
• Evaluates financial data to assess creditworthiness.
• Keeps updated on available loan products, processing protocols, and underwriting standards.
• Processes borrower applications effectively.
• Utilizes communication tools to access daily rates, credit reports, and DU responses, transmitting information to the processor.
• Gathers necessary documentation from applicants and submits loan packages to the processor promptly.
• Ensures high levels of customer service while managing expectations of both applicants and support staff.
• Attends and engages in all required lending meetings.
• Completes BSA/AML training and other compliance-related training as needed.
• Maintains a state of alertness and operates in a safe manner.
• Participates in Community Development meetings to enhance and strengthen relationships.
• Represents the bank at various civic, charitable, educational, and social events to develop and enhance relationships.
• Delivers presentations on financial education to groups to attract new business opportunities.
• Attends and participates in CRA Development meetings and required training sessions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or necessary.
• Equivalent to a four-year college degree, coupled with 4 years of relevant experience and/or training, and 2 years of related management experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and comprehend general business or company-related articles and professional journals.
• Proficient in effectively speaking before groups of customers or employees.
• Capable of calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts like fractions, ratios, and proportions to real-world scenarios.
• Skilled in solving practical problems and managing a variety of known variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Competent in interpreting various instructions presented in written, oral, or diagrammatic formats.
• This role necessitates S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment via the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
• Somewhat disagreeable working conditions.
• Continuous exposure to one or two elements, including noise, intermittent standing, walking, and occasional pushing, carrying, or lifting.
