Mortgage Branch Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Promotes residential mortgage loan products to real estate agents, potential homebuyers, and builder sales representatives. Allocates 25% or more of the workday to marketing activities and closing transactions outside of the primary work location (including home office).

• Initiates loan applications while ensuring accurate pricing, adherence to investor guidelines, compliance with federal and state banking credit regulations, and non-discrimination policies.

• Completes all necessary applications, which include: Good Faith Estimate, transaction details, and all required information on a 1003 form.

• Aids the processor in obtaining the necessary documentation for loan approval.

• Regularly reviews investor guidelines to stay updated with agency (FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, MHF) and individual investor requirements.

• Performs additional duties as assigned (job responsibilities may be adjusted at the employer's discretion).

• Upholds high standards of customer service while managing the expectations of each applicant and support staff.

• Leads, manages, and mentors a team of Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) or operational staff, including task assignment, time management, and conducting Performance Management Review (PMR) activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer/Originator.

• More than 2 years of experience in a Branch Manager role.

• Previous experience in a leadership position is preferred.

• Background in originating loans for sale to FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, and/or CDA is preferred.

• Proficiency in using a mortgage loan management system is required; experience with Encompass is highly preferred.
