This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.
• Providing on-duty service coverage, including both day and night shifts.
• Responding to incidents by troubleshooting and resolving issues, while also seeking help from third-party or vendor support when necessary.
• Routing issues or inquiries to the appropriate department as required.
• Maintaining comprehensive records and documentation of ongoing infrastructure issues and Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).
• Contributing to safe and effective internal protocols for AI utilization in monitoring and incident response processes.
• Collaborating with various teams to comprehend and define their monitoring requirements, followed by implementing suitable solutions.
• Configuring and modifying the monitoring/observability systems for diverse teams.
• Designing and adjusting alerts and dashboards to meet specific needs.
• Refining alerts to minimize irrelevant notifications and enhance their importance.
• Improving dashboards for greater clarity, comprehension, and a more holistic view.
• Establishing and maintaining connections between the monitoring systems and other platforms such as Jira, Opsgenie, etc., when needed.
• Creating and updating a Knowledge Base that encompasses system configurations, alert procedures, troubleshooting guidelines, and user manuals.
• Keeping abreast of the latest trends and best practices to consistently elevate our organization's monitoring capabilities.
• Identifying opportunities to automate repetitive monitoring and support tasks, including utilizing AI-assisted approaches where appropriate.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, SRE, DevOps, or Monitoring Support Engineer (L2+).
• Solid understanding of Linux-based operating systems (Debian-based).
• Experience with containerization, virtualization, and orchestration (LXC/LXD, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Development experience in any scripting language (Bash, Python, Go, etc.) and familiarity with REST API.
• Knowledge of fundamental database concepts (experience with PostgreSQL is preferred), including transactions and WAL.
• Proficiency in English at an Intermediate (B1) level or higher.
• Proficiency in Russian at an Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or higher.
• A practical interest in utilizing AI-assisted tools for troubleshooting, automation, documentation, and operational efficiency.
• Capability to critically assess AI-generated output and validate it before deployment in production environments.
