This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nigeria, +1 more country.
• Lead the development and integration of Theories of Change, strategic monitoring frameworks, and work plans during the initial stages of program development and donor proposal writing.
• Develop performance indicators, impact metrics, and target baselines that align with organizational goals.
• Adjust data quality assurance and evaluation methods in response to evolving funding environments, program objectives, and field conditions.
• Manage the comprehensive collection, cleaning, categorization, and analysis of both quantitative and qualitative datasets.
• Collaborate with the Data Analytics team to manipulate platform databases, extract operational insights, and enhance Health Information Systems such as DHIS2.
• Choose, maintain, and oversee data platforms and digital collection technologies like KoboToolbox and Tableau.
• Lead the selection of quality assurance partners, coordinate collaborative training sessions, and provide initial field oversight.
• Conduct regular Data Quality Audits in collaboration with Program Managers.
• Offer technical troubleshooting and on-site support for field execution and data quality issues.
• Convert analytical findings into reports, case studies, and publications for internal teams, partners, and donors.
• Train and mentor colleagues to utilize data effectively and develop programs designed for reliable data collection.
• Promote organization-wide sharing of knowledge, learnings, and best practices.
• Report directly to the Director of Evidence and Learning within the MERL team.
• At least 8 years of progressively responsible experience in designing, managing, and implementing M&E frameworks within international development or public health contexts.
• Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Proficiency in advanced programming, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools, including Python, R, Stata, SPSS, KoboToolbox, and Tableau.
• Practical experience with maintaining or integrating Health Information Systems such as DHIS2.
• Experience in managing external research partners, field teams, and collaborative stakeholder relationships.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in British English.
• Capability to write for technical audiences and donor organizations.
• Ability to work remotely from Nigeria or South Africa.
