This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Oversee the availability, performance, and capacity of assets, links, and network services.
• Evaluate alarms, events, dashboards, and indicators from monitoring systems.
• Triage and investigate incidents, determining likely causes, impacts, and priorities.
• Conduct diagnostics for connectivity, infrastructure, and services.
• Configure and manage hosts, templates, items, triggers, macros, discovery rules, actions, and maps within Zabbix.
• Develop and enhance dashboards, panels, and alerts in monitoring systems.
• Explore collection failures through SNMP, ICMP, agents, APIs, and other integration methods.
• Review triggers and parameters to minimize false positives and enhance alarm accuracy.
• Record and track tickets, ensuring compliance with SLAs.
• Communicate with clients, carriers, vendors, and technical teams as per escalation procedures.
• Assist junior analysts with incident analysis and procedural tasks.
• Identify recurring events, trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
• Document procedures, solutions, and standards, ensuring thorough shift handovers.
• Practical experience with Zabbix in production settings.
• Intermediate understanding of hosts, templates, items, triggers, macros, discovery, actions, and maps.
• Proficient with Grafana for analyzing, creating, and maintaining dashboards.
• Knowledgeable in SNMP, ICMP, agents, Syslog, and APIs.
• Familiar with TCP/IP, IP addressing, DNS, VLANs, routing, latency, packet loss, and availability.
• Capable of interpreting metrics, graphs, alerts, trends, and capacity indicators.
• Acquainted with ping, traceroute, MTR, and SSH/Telnet.
• Basic Linux skills and ability to conduct basic server investigations.
• Experience in incident management, technical escalation, and SLA adherence.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, a sense of priority, and availability for shifts/on-call duties.
• Previous experience in monitoring, infrastructure, technical support, or NOC operations, with hands-on experience in Zabbix and Grafana, ideally in ISPs or telecommunications settings.
• Preferred knowledge: switches, routers, firewalls, servers, links, OLTs, and BRAS/BNGs; distributed Zabbix, proxies, and collection troubleshooting; databases; alert and notification integrations; Bash or Python; virtualization, containers, ITIL, problem management, and root cause analysis.
• Courses or certifications in Zabbix, Grafana, networking, Linux, or infrastructure are advantageous.
• Willingness to work shifts/on-call.
