This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Evaluate customer data models and architectures to identify necessary modifications for compliant SysML and/or UAF models.
• Design and sustain prototype software pipelines and data transformation workflows aimed at automating SysML and/or UAF model generation and validation.
• Utilize Cameo to create and refine behavioral and structural diagrams that support BPMN workflows, mission threads, operational scenarios, and program data.
• Oversee quality assurance, validation, and enhancement of SysML and UAF outputs.
• Collaborate with internal teams, sister organizations, and clients via MS Teams, video calls, and email.
• Engage in requirements gathering sessions, design evaluations, and trade studies.
• Deliver product demonstrations and customer training remotely and in-person.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and various team meetings.
• Manage tasks and deliverables using Jira while providing status updates.
• Proactively escalate risks and issues as they arise.
• Operate in alignment with DoD security protocols and manage classified information and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) appropriately.
• Must be a US Citizen with a Top Secret security clearance and SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (aerospace, mechanical, electrical, systems, software, or a related field) or equivalent relevant experience with justification.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in systems engineering, digital engineering, or similar technical positions.
• A minimum of 3 years of practical Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience, including the application of SysML methodology.
• Over 2 years of direct experience using Cameo Systems Modeler, including advanced functionalities like custom profiles, model transformations, and tool integration.
• Strong working knowledge of SysML v1.x and/or v2.x.
• Solid understanding of the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) and its alignment with the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
• Comprehensive grasp of systems engineering principles, processes, and best practices (such as INCOSE, IEEE 15288, or similar frameworks).
• Proven expertise in requirements management, traceability, and configuration management.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills.
• Capacity to build professional relationships with DoD personnel, contractors, and government representatives.
• Preferred: experience in highly regulated industries.
• Preferred: practical knowledge of DoD acquisition processes.
• Preferred: familiarity with DoD IT standards, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, DoD RMF, or system security engineering practices.
• Preferred: experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Preferred: practical experience with Jira or similar task management tools.
• Preferred: experience in data modeling, ontologies, or knowledge graphs.
• Preferred: exposure to software development tools, APIs, or pipeline automation, such as Jenkins, Git, or Python scripting.
• Preferred: certification in MBSE, systems engineering, or related fields.
