Mobile VMU Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Manage a fleet of vehicles for a contracted client.

• Travel to various customer locations within the designated area to conduct routine maintenance and repairs.

• Visit customer sites as necessary to execute repairs.

• Carry out preventative maintenance, mechanical and electrical repairs, and modifications on customer vehicles and associated ancillary equipment.

• Identify faults and perform diagnostic evaluations.

• Accurately complete job cards, service sheets, timesheets, and other necessary documentation in a timely manner.

• Provide thorough end-of-shift handovers, detailing vehicle status, whether on or off-road.

• Ensure that warranty claims adhere to warranty specifications.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of processes, methods, and operational practices.

• Foster and sustain strong relationships with both employees and customers.

• Assist workshop operations in meeting financial and cultural objectives and targets.

• Uphold company, industry, and legal health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Document accidents, risks, and near misses.

• Maintain workplace cleanliness and ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Proficient in performing routine maintenance and repairs on customer fleets.

• Capable of executing thorough preventative maintenance and repairs.

• Skilled in accurate fault diagnosis and proper installation of replacement parts.

• Competent in completing job cards, service sheets, timesheets, and related paperwork efficiently and accurately.

• Able to conduct diagnostic analysis when necessary.

• Willingness to participate in training to acquire multi-skills.

• Strong understanding of the Company’s Safe Systems of Work.

• Committed to adhering to Company, Industry, and Legal Health, Safety & Environmental standards.

• Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is essential.

• Ability to promptly report accidents, risks, and near misses.

• Capability to uphold excellent housekeeping standards.
