Mobile Vehicle Inspector II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.

📋 Description

• Execute comprehensive on-site inspections of vehicle conditions in accordance with Manheim's inspection standards.

• Find, start, move, assess, and safely return vehicles located on dealer client lots.

• Confirm vehicle identification, including VINs, mileage, sub-series, and options; accurately input data into systems.

• Assess and document the condition of both the exterior and interior of vehicles, covering aspects such as tires, frame, glass, panels, mechanical components, seating, dashboard, and installed options.

• Conduct basic mechanical evaluations of powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components.

• Identify and record any damage, missing parts, or non-functional features.

• Foster trust with dealer clients through consistent quality, professionalism, and prompt responses.

• Provide education to clients regarding Manheim Marketplace and mobile inspection services.

• Engage dealers to boost inspection volumes and ensure continued participation.

• Leverage data, insights, and partner feedback to maximize inspection efficiency and productivity in the territory.

• Adjust to shifting appointments and schedules to guarantee dealer coverage.

• Prepare and submit daily activity and production reports.

• Utilize Salesforce.com for reporting, lead management, and tracking customer performance.

• Collaborate with Wholesale Specialists, colleagues, and other teams within Manheim.

• Contribute to ongoing improvement and Lean process enhancements.

• Maintain production expectations while adhering to safety and health protocols.

• Take part in Safety Excellence initiatives and comply with Manheim's inspection standards.

• Mentor peers and assist in the onboarding and development of less experienced inspectors at the senior level.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must reside in the Lincoln, Nebraska area.

• A High School Diploma or GED is required for Level 1.

• Level 2: High School Diploma or GED plus at least 3 years of experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of degree/certification beyond high school/GED or 5 years of relevant experience.

• Senior Level: High School Diploma/GED plus 5 years of relevant experience, or a combination of degree/certification beyond high school/GED with 3 years of experience, or 7 years of relevant experience.

• Basic automotive knowledge is preferred for Level 1.

• 0–1 years of automotive-related experience is preferred for Level 1.

• 1–2 years of automotive-related experience is preferred for Level 2.

• Prior vehicle inspection experience is required for the Senior Level.

• In-depth knowledge of automotive body and mechanical systems is required for the Senior Level.

• 2–3 years of automotive-related experience is strongly preferred for the Senior Level.

• One year of service with Manheim Inspections is recommended for the Senior Level.

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

• Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the role within specified timeframes.

• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

• Must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.
