Mobile QA Engineer – Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Evaluate intricate fintech and cryptocurrency workflows, encompassing transactions, card operations, swaps, KYC processes, asset transfers, and fiat on/off-ramps.

• Take charge of quality assurance by personally testing new features across mobile platforms (iOS/Android), backend services, and back-office applications.

• Engage in feature design and delivery, proactively identifying risks and quality considerations at the early stages of the development lifecycle.

• Analyze production issues, replicate defects, and ensure that root causes are addressed effectively.

• Collaborate with developers to establish an automated testing strategy and determine coverage.

• Create thorough test scenarios and acceptance criteria.

• Evaluate automated test implementations to guarantee comprehensive coverage of critical business functionalities.

• Elevate the QA standards within the team by developing templates, checklists, and bug-reporting guidelines, while monitoring key metrics (defect rate, escape rate, CFR/LT) and converting them into actionable insights.

• Maintain robust production environments by overseeing monitoring tools such as Sentry, Firebase, and Grafana, leading incident responses and post-mortem analyses, and investigating root causes to enhance the system's resilience over time.

• Foster a quality-first engineering culture where testing is an integral part of the development process.

• Assist in incident investigations, post-mortem reviews, and ongoing reliability enhancements.

• Track product health utilizing observability and analytics tools.

• Shape product and engineering decisions through data analysis, technical assessments, and risk evaluations.

• Aid teams in balancing delivery speed with product reliability and customer trust.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in manual testing of mobile applications and backend systems, with over 5 years of experience ensuring quality in production environments.

• Proven track record in establishing and fostering a quality-first culture across production products, driving continuous improvements, and scaling QA practices in alignment with product growth.

• In-depth knowledge of test design methodologies, exploratory testing, regression strategies, and risk-based testing approaches.

• Experience in testing complex business logic within fintech, payments, cryptocurrency, trading, or similarly regulated sectors.

• Strong skills in API testing and debugging.

• Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams on test automation initiatives.

• Ability to comprehend system architecture, backend integrations, and data flows.

• Solid understanding of performance, reliability, and scalability testing principles.
