Performance Tester – Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the Case Management Modernization (CMM) Program

• Create, implement, and assess performance, load, and scalability tests for enterprise-level applications hosted on the AWS cloud

• Work collaboratively with development and infrastructure teams to enhance overall system performance

• Design and perform performance, load, stress, and endurance tests to ensure system scalability and responsiveness

• Establish performance benchmarks and KPIs derived from application SLAs, SOW requirements, and user load models

• Construct, configure, and sustain performance test environments within AWS cloud infrastructure

• Develop test scripts using JMeter, LoadRunner, or K6, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines

• Carry out baseline performance assessments and capacity planning

• Ensure application releases comply with federal performance and reliability standards before production rollout

• Engage in Agile ceremonies and share performance insights during sprint planning and retrospectives

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

• Over 5 years of experience with integration, regression, and system testing utilizing automated testing tools for web-based applications

• More than 5 years of experience in software performance testing and engineering, including 3+ years in cloud-based or distributed systems

• Proficient in writing test cases, developing test plans, executing test scripts, reporting defects, and preparing test result reports

• Familiarity with the complete QA Life Cycle

• Strong expertise in JavaScript

• In-depth knowledge of performance engineering principles

• Experience testing applications within AWS cloud environments

• Working knowledge of NodeJS, REST APIs, microservices, and front-end frameworks like ReactJS

• Acquainted with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, ELK Stack, or Grafana
