This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections.
• Safely locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles on the dealer/clients’ lot.
• Confirm vehicle identification and accurately input vehicle details into the inspection system, including VIN, mileage, and sub-series corrections.
• Assess vehicle equipment and options, documenting findings such as damage, missing items, or inoperable components.
• Evaluate and record the external condition of the vehicle, including but not limited to tires, frame, glass, panels, and mechanical parts.
• Assess and document the interior condition of the vehicle, including but not limited to seats, dashboard, and options.
• Conduct basic mechanical checks on vehicles, including powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical systems.
• Prepare and submit daily activity reports for management review.
• Adapt to changes in daily appointments to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of each dealer visit.
• Cultivate a strong understanding of clients in the territory and collaborate with partners to keep them engaged with Manheim mobile inspections through proactive on-lot engagement.
• Gather data and insights from partners to enhance the volume of units inspected on dealer lots.
• Serve as a brand ambassador for Cox Automotive, delivering a premier client experience by regularly interfacing with core clients and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Function as a reliable team player, collaborating closely with the Wholesale Specialist team, peers, other Manheim workgroups, and auctions.
• Utilize SalesForce.com for reporting, lead entry, and customer performance evaluations.
• Understand the NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy.
• Operate in a continuous improvement/Lean environment, actively promoting a lean culture.
• Meet production expectations established by leadership.
• Demonstrate a visible commitment to safety by adhering to all safety and health protocols and modeling the associated behaviors.
• Actively engage in support of all safety initiatives aligned with Safety Excellence.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
• High School Diploma/GED is required, along with three years of experience in a related field.
• Alternatively, the right candidate may possess a different combination, such as any level of degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline.
• Alternatively, five years of experience in a related field may be acceptable.
• Safe drivers are needed; a valid driver's license is required.
• Preferred automotive knowledge includes body and mechanical expertise.
• Travel is required at 100% - reliable transportation is necessary.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Strong technical aptitude is required.
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Experience with handheld and other documentation devices is preferred.
• Self-motivated individuals capable of working independently with remote supervision are desired.
• Ability to multitask, follow directions, and take instruction is required.
• Knowledge of body, paint, and mechanical repair is beneficial.
• Familiarity with unibody and full-frame structures is helpful.
• Must be able to lift and hold at least 30 lbs. at waist level for extended periods.
