Mobile Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Develop features for iHerb's iOS and Android applications that are utilized by millions of customers worldwide.

• Release new features utilizing AI-driven development tools.

• Engage in mobile modernization, enhancements in app architecture, and the introduction of new platform capabilities.

• Produce maintainable, thoroughly tested mobile code and manage features from design specifications to app store deployment.

• Collaborate with designers and backend developers to incorporate new APIs and enhance product experiences.

• Utilize Claude Code or similar AI tools daily for code generation, refactoring, and test automation.

• Contribute to the development of cross-platform tools and shared component libraries as the mobile platform matures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level position.

• Expertise in Swift/iOS and Kotlin/Android.

• Proven experience in deploying apps to the App Store and/or Google Play.

• Knowledge of mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM or Clean Architecture.

• Direct experience in releasing production code using AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor; daily usage is mandatory.

• Familiarity with .NET/C#, Go, Python, Java, React, MS SQL Server, Azure, or AWS.

• Ability to contribute across multiple layers of the tech stack as needed; candidates who specialize solely in one layer are not preferred.

• Experience in managing features from specification through deployment and ongoing maintenance.

• Strong understanding of software design principles, automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.

• D3 (7+ years): capable of independently delivering features with minimal guidance; solid foundational knowledge; starting to make wider technical contributions.

• Basic proficiency with Claude tool for systems development.

• Familiarity with AI SDLC.

• Advanced proficiency in spoken English.

• Advanced proficiency in Spanish.
