This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica, +6 more states.
• Develop, maintain, and revise Playwright test suites for the iOS and Android driver application, including during the upcoming comprehensive app overhaul.
• Implement structured test plans, including manual regression testing, to ensure release quality before and throughout the automation build process.
• Identify and resolve flaky tests, differentiating between test-execution problems and actual engineering defects.
• Execute and manage parallelized test suites using BrowserStack and GitHub Actions to optimize execution times.
• Document results in TestRail.
• Assess existing manual tests prior to transitioning coverage into automation.
• Acquire knowledge regarding interconnected systems, such as driver accounts, order settings, and device conditions, to create regression coverage for real-world variability.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and leadership to grasp requirements and ensure thorough test coverage.
• Identify, record, and monitor software defects through issue tracking tools.
• Engage in code reviews and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the QA process.
• Investigate and implement AI-driven testing tools to improve automation efficiency and precision.
• Evaluate test outcomes and furnish clear, actionable feedback to the development team.
• 3–5 years of experience in QA/test automation; relevant hands-on experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree (a bachelor's degree is not mandatory).
• Practical experience in testing native mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.
• Familiarity with Playwright.
• Knowledge of TestFlight.
• Proficient with the TestRail platform.
• Experience in executing parallelized test suites.
• Strong aptitude for troubleshooting flaky tests and differentiating engineering challenges from test-execution problems.
• Ability to rapidly understand how interconnected systems operate, including accounts, permissions, order settings, and device conditions, to design comprehensive test coverage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to overlap with the team's morning ET sync meeting.
