MLE Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• The consultant will assist in the ongoing MLE Strategy initiatives for Africa Safe Water programs, while also aiding in the design, testing, and integration of MLE redesign efforts into the overarching MLE framework.

• This consultancy will facilitate project management and execution related to MLE Strategy activities for Africa Safe Water programs, which includes the development of work plans, tracking milestones, and documenting findings to ensure consistency across various regions.

• The consultant is expected to design and implement pilot projects to evaluate MLE redesign strategies, collaborating with MLE strategy team members and regional MLE teams.

• The consultant will monitor and consolidate insights from the pilots to evaluate effectiveness and guide decisions regarding broader integration.

• The consultant will liaise with regional MLE, program, and country teams to guarantee alignment and quality across MLE activities, while also supporting data quality and assurance processes, identifying issues, and contributing to their resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess 3-5 years of experience in creating M&E frameworks and plans, conducting implementation research, and designing M&E activities, including sampling design, survey protocols, and data collection tools (experience in WASH or water program monitoring and evaluation is preferred).

• You have a background in developing or piloting innovative approaches from the ground up and can effectively contribute to iterative redesign processes.

• You are skilled in data analysis with experience in exploratory analysis and are comfortable working with incomplete information to derive insights and guide decision-making.

• You are capable of managing complex and interrelated work plans and projects, prioritizing effectively, and adapting plans as necessary while handling multiple priorities simultaneously.

• You collaborate successfully across teams and departments in a global, matrixed environment, and are able to work flexible hours to synchronize with colleagues across different time zones.

• You excel at proactively synthesizing inputs from various stakeholders to identify a clear path forward and can work independently to drive progress in uncertain situations.
