
Mission Operations and Controls Engineer – Orbital Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Continuously tracking the position and velocity of artificial objects in Earth's orbit or deep space.
• Utilizing mathematical models and observational data to accurately compute orbital parameters.
• Anticipating potential close encounters between objects and suggesting necessary avoidance actions.
• Crafting optimal trajectories for spacecraft launches, orbital transfers, and re-entries.
• Monitoring and cataloging space debris to aid in preventing hazardous collisions.
• Evaluating the risk of collision among various space objects.
• Developing and employing tools to execute precise orbit determination using specialized software.
• Collaborating with flight operations mission teams to assist in spacecraft maneuver planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent work experience in place of a degree, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience).
• Generally, 5+ years of related experience (or a Master's degree plus 3 years of experience).
• Developing expertise in Systems Engineering principles and practices.
• Familiarity with requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation.
• Understanding of systems architecture, systems integration, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles.
• Growing ability to collaborate and communicate with technical and specialized subject matter expert engineers.
• An active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is mandatory.
