• Acts as a Product Manager within the Navy Domain.
• Collaborates with Navy Tech Leads to define the technical roadmap for Mission Outcomes alongside Mission Heroes.
• Aligns Defense Unicorns’ Product Roadmaps with the technical roadmap for your Hero while providing insights to the Product segment regarding Mission Need timelines for features to enhance adoption.
• Shares and facilitates feedback from the Delivery segment to the Product segment concerning Defense Unicorns’ OSS projects and productized services.
• Partners with Tech Leads to create a cohesive Delivery roadmap using Product roadmaps.
• Adheres to company best practices in strategies for developing Delivery solutions.
• Balances priorities from users, customers, stakeholders, and the team to deliver mission value in a scalable manner.
• Cultivates an environment that promotes Unicorn growth, mentorship, and coaching within the team.
• Encourages an atmosphere where the values and principles of Defense Unicorns can flourish.
• Must be a US Citizen and possess an active SECRET clearance.
• Skilled in translating pain points into root cause issues and collaborating with engineers to establish a roadmap for value delivery.
• Proficient in contemporary software development processes and practices, including DevSecOps, Continuous Delivery, and User-Centered Design.
• Expertise in modern software development methodologies, including DevSecOps, Continuous Delivery, User-Centered Design, Value Stream Architecture, and various Agile frameworks; capable of applying and adjusting principles and ceremonies from different frameworks to fit the team, product, and mission objectives.
• Experience in managing cross-functional engineering teams.
• Adept in managing expectations across diverse personas.
• Passionate about software delivery for Mission Success within the technology sector or Department of Defense.
• Possesses sufficient technical depth to comprehend architectural decisions and communicate them in a manner that stakeholders, users, and the team can understand and align with.
