Mission Architect – Remote Sensing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Define the architecture and system requirements for OPIR missions.

• Lead modeling and simulation initiatives to evaluate system performance.

• Develop Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) at the spacecraft, constellation, and mission levels.

• Design and implement Mission Data Processing algorithms.

• Manage mission-level budgets and Key Performance Parameters (KPPs).

• Ensure adherence to mission-level requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, physical sciences, or computer science.

• 14+ years of experience in space-based remote sensing missions, OR a Master's Degree with 12+ years, OR a PhD with 10+ years of experience.

• Proficiency in Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) sensor design and performance.

• Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

• Over 20 years of experience in space-based OPIR missions (preferred).

• Proven experience in leading multi-disciplinary technical teams (preferred).

• Background in missile warning and tracking (preferred).
