Mining Projects Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Coordinate and lead teams on a scheduled basis, utilizing your shotfirer certification and expertise in effective schedule management.

• Collaborate with HR during recruitment processes, providing valuable insights and expertise to select the most suitable candidates for the team.

• Ensure adherence to statutory regulations while offering comprehensive support to drill and blast crews.

• Strategically plan and allocate equipment, personnel, inventory, and resources to achieve optimal operational results.

• Coach, mentor, and manage team members to foster a cohesive and high-performing team environment.

• Work closely with the site manager to promote continuous improvement in drill and blast operations, advocating for a culture centered on safety.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of supervisory experience in blasting/drilling operations, along with a current shotfirer certification.

• Exhibit leadership abilities in scheduling teams, with a strong emphasis on people management.

• Provide valuable insights and assistance in recruitment processes, effectively coordinating with HR.

• Demonstrate skills in developing and managing customer relationships.

• Hold a current HR and forklift license, with a Shotfirer or Dangerous Goods ticket being highly desirable.

• Ideally, possess technical service experience within mining operations.

• Be physically capable of working outdoors, including extended periods of physical activity.

• Successfully pass a National Criminal History Check/SSAN, along with pre-employment medical assessments and Drug and Alcohol screening.

• Exhibit strong communication skills for building relationships, leading, and influencing others.
