This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Perform mineral title research utilizing county records and online databases.
• Examine deeds, leases, assignments, probate records, liens, and encumbrances.
• Create mineral ownership reports, title runsheets, and chain of title analyses.
• Detect title defects and propose curative solutions.
• Draft and prepare recordable documents, which include: – Affidavits – Memorandums of Lease – Assignments – Curative documents.
• Confirm ownership interests, legal descriptions, and the accuracy of title positions.
• Collaborate with county clerks and third-party vendors as necessary.
• Keep organized title files and maintain project tracking documentation.
• Work alongside project teams to ensure timely delivery of client-ready outputs.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in mineral title (preferably in the energy sector).
• Strong comprehension of mineral ownership, chain of title, curative measures, and legal land descriptions.
• Proven experience in preparing title reports and recordable documents.
• Familiarity with county record systems and title research databases.
• Capacity to handle multiple projects while ensuring exceptional accuracy.
• Experience in multi-state operations and Texas is preferred.
