Migration Deployment Specialist – Scheduling, IBM Z Workload Scheduler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and assist in the migration of batch scheduling tasks to IBM Z Workload Scheduler.

• Evaluate legacy scheduling definitions from CA-7, CA ESP, Jobtrac, BMC Control-M, and ASG Zeke/Zebb and translate them into IBM scheduler formats.

• Carry out parallel tracking, validate schedules, analyze dependencies, and resolve issues.

• Supervise workload execution via TSO/ISPF and IBM scheduler interfaces.

• Offer technical support and training to scheduling teams and operational personnel.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid mainframe experience in OS/390 or z/OS.

• Extensive practical knowledge of IBM Z Workload Scheduler (IZWS / IWS).

• Practical experience in migrating from Non-IBM / ISV scheduling systems such as CA-7, CA ESP, CA Workload Automation ESP, Jobtrac, BMC Control-M, or ASG Zeke/Zebb to IBM Z Workload Scheduler.

• Proficient TSO/ISPF editing abilities and an expert-level comprehension of JCL.

• Familiarity with dependency analysis, schedule validation, report examination, and iterative parallel tracking.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical collaboration and client-facing activities.
