This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create a thorough cloud migration strategy that aligns with business and technical requirements.

• Evaluate the existing IT environment and outline the migration scope.

• Select the suitable cloud model (public, private, hybrid, or multi-cloud) and cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Establish cost, security, and compliance criteria for cloud integration.

• Offer guidance on the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE) framework.

• Formulate detailed migration and/or transformation strategies.

• Design cloud architectures that meet scalability, availability, and performance requirements.

• Create migration plans that include rehosting (lift and shift), re-platforming, re-architecting, and replacing legacy systems.

• Identify dependencies and risks linked to cloud migration.

• Ensure the selection of appropriate cloud services (compute, storage, networking, security) for optimal performance.

• Lead the migration initiative, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.

• Collaborate closely with DevOps, security, and networking teams to configure cloud environments.

• Manage data migration, application refactoring, and integration with cloud-native services.

• Optimize workloads post-migration for cost efficiency and effectiveness.

• Implement security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and monitoring.

• Advise on maintaining compliance with industry standards (ISO, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).

• Establish governance policies for cloud resource utilization and cost management.

• Set up monitoring and alerting systems for cloud infrastructure using tools like AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or GCP Operations Suite.

• Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions to improve system reliability.

• Collaborate with business leaders, developers, and IT teams to align cloud migration objectives.

• Communicate migration status, risks, and solutions to stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, including military experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in the IT sector.

• More than 3 years of experience in Cloud Migration.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Relevant technology certifications are preferred.

• Solid understanding of IaaS and PaaS cloud services.

• Proficiency in one of the cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, along with relevant certification(s).

• Knowledge of primary infrastructure components and their fundamental principles – compute, storage, networking.

• Familiarity with virtualization and experience with a server or desktop virtualization solution (e.g., VMware vSphere, MS Hyper-V).

• Experience with cloud or on-premise migration tools and strategies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to design and articulate complex infrastructure solutions.

• Excellent project management and client communication skills.

• A willingness to learn and adapt in a rapidly changing field.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
