This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.
• Create and sustain automated testing frameworks for the Routing SD-WAN sector on the CI/CD test orchestration platform.
• Take ownership of weekly regression tests by monitoring outcomes, analyzing failures, and facilitating their resolution.
• Troubleshoot unsuccessful runs by examining device, system, and testing logs.
• Differentiate between product defects and issues related to the test suite or environment.
• Document defects thoroughly and raise them as needed.
• Collaborate with development teams to grasp delivered features and strategize test coverage.
• Enhance test automation as new Routing features are introduced.
• Utilize AI tools for scripting, log analysis, and identifying root causes.
• Facilitate issue resolution with suite owners and development/test engineers through dedicated collaboration channels.
• Extensive hands-on experience in Python-based test automation using pytest or comparable frameworks.
• Experience with pyATS/Genie is highly preferred.
• Background in network test automation.
• Strong networking knowledge centered on BGP, OSPF, routing tables, VRFs, and Layer 3 networking principles.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN concepts, including overlay architecture, policies, and IPsec tunnels.
• Established debugging and troubleshooting abilities, including log analysis and CLI-level investigations.
• Capability to identify root causes across product, test, and environmental layers.
• Experience collaborating closely with software development teams to translate features into test scenarios.
• Practical experience with LLM coding assistants such as Copilot or Codex in day-to-day engineering tasks.
• Knowledge of REST APIs or WebSockets.
• Familiarity with Docker.
• Proficient Linux command-line skills, shell scripting, and command-line utilities.
• Proficient in English at a B2+ level.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Jenkins and GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of physical or virtual network testbeds and virtual routers.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with formal defect tracking systems.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with traffic generators.
