Mid/Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and enhance cloud infrastructure on GCP with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Automate the provisioning of global infrastructure using Terraform to guarantee consistent environments throughout the lifecycle.

• Develop and sustain robust CI/CD pipelines for application, data, and model deployment workflows utilizing GitHub Actions.

• Collaborate closely with Data Science teams to deploy and oversee machine learning models and analytical services.

• Implement and uphold security best practices, including IAM, VPC service controls, and Zero Trust architectures.

• Establish and maintain modern observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki) for proactive monitoring and alerting.

• Provide assistance in managing cross-cloud integrations, applying your knowledge of AWS and Azure where relevant.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 3–5 years of focused experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Engineering roles.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Google Cloud services (e.g., GCE, GKE, GCS, Cloud SQL, IAM, and VPC).

• Strong proficiency in Docker and orchestration using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) or similar services from other cloud providers.

• Proven expertise in managing infrastructure through Terraform.

• Experience in creating automation pipelines using GitHub Actions or comparable tools.

• Proficiency in Python and Bash for task automation and tooling development.

• Solid understanding of Linux system administration and performance optimization.

• Familiarity with AWS (EC2, S3, EKS) or Azure (AKS, App Service) is highly advantageous.

• Awareness of GCP-specific data tools (BigQuery, Vertex AI, Dataflow) or MLOps tools (MLflow, Airflow).

• Understanding of Zero Trust Network (ZTN) principles and Cloudflare.

• Basic experience in PostgreSQL administration.

• Experience in dynamic, agile, deep-tech environments.
