This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main technical contact and trusted advisor for security, email, and identity teams.
• Collaborate with Mid-Market Account Executives throughout intricate enterprise sales processes.
• Perform both in-person and remote product demonstrations.
• Facilitate architecture-level technical discussions.
• Communicate the technical and business advantages of Abnormal AI’s platform.
• Manage and drive successful outcomes for Enterprise-scale Proof of Value initiatives.
• Act as the technical authority and primary decision-making partner from discovery to closure.
• Lead technical discovery aimed at identifying customer risks.
• Investigate technical and competitive landscapes to address customer inquiries and concerns.
• Respond to architecture-level and contemporary threat queries.
• Clarify the limitations of traditional secure email gateways against social engineering and identity-based threats.
• Provide education and implement AI Security solutions across email, identity, and other security domains.
• Train sales executives and partners on Abnormal AI products, platform capabilities, and security posture.
• Foster customer satisfaction and achieve successful business outcomes.
• Reside in the Ohio Valley region, preferably in Detroit, Cincinnati, Louisville, Columbus, Nashville, or Memphis.
• Capacity to link technology to quantifiable risk reduction and business outcomes at an Enterprise level.
• Ability to influence senior security, IT, and executive stakeholders in both virtual and in-person environments.
• Skill in creating value-driven presentations using PowerPoint and Google Slides.
• Strong discovery capabilities.
• Sales Engineering experience, pertinent industry experience, or proven technical aptitude.
• Proficiency in leading technical discovery and architecture discussions with security, infrastructure, identity, and compliance teams.
• Excellent verbal and written skills for technical presentations and communication.
• Ability to identify complex business challenges and design solutions.
• Capability to work autonomously in a dynamic sales environment.
• Solid understanding of SaaS security models, including multi-tenant cloud environments.
• Familiarity with DNS, TCP/IP, TLS, and enterprise networking concepts related to email and SaaS security.
• Inquisitiveness to comprehend how and why products function.
• Desired experience with enterprise email security platforms such as Proofpoint, Mimecast, Cisco, or Barracuda.
• Desired understanding of cybersecurity tools including EDR, Firewall, SIEM, and ITP.
• Desired technical background in messaging and internet security principles.
• Desired experience with Microsoft Exchange Online/Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
• Desired understanding of SMTP mail flow, MX records, and mail routing.
• Desired knowledge of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
• Desired understanding of cloud SaaS infrastructure and identity services such as Azure AD/Entra ID/Google Identity.
• Desired ability to explain identity-driven and modern social engineering attacks and architectural controls.
• Desired experience integrating SaaS platforms via OAuth and REST APIs.
• Desired familiarity with Splunk, Sentinel, and SOC workflows.
• Desired experience with SOC incident response teams and workflows.
• Security certifications such as CISSP or CEH are a plus.
