Midlevel DevOps Engineer – 9 months Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Oversee and sustain on-premises IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking devices.

• Track system performance to guarantee availability and dependability.

• Execute regular updates, patches, and maintenance for systems.

• Design, implement, and oversee network configurations such as LAN, WAN, and VPN.

• Diagnose and rectify connectivity and performance challenges.

• Monitor and enhance network traffic and performance metrics.

• Configure, manage, and supervise firewalls.

• Manage port configurations and ensure secure internal and external communications.

• Establish and uphold security protocols and best practices.

• Conduct routine security audits and vulnerability assessments.

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.

• Execute backup and recovery processes to maintain data integrity.

• Keep documentation updated for infrastructure, configurations, and processes.

• Collaborate with IT teams on ongoing projects and initiatives.

• Offer technical support to internal users and teams.

• Assist in the planning and execution of infrastructure upgrades.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (preferred).

• Demonstrated experience in managing on-premises IT infrastructure.

• Extensive experience with firewalls, network security measures, and port configurations.

• Practical experience with LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networking.

• Familiarity with server administration and virtualization technologies.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Strong comprehension of security protocols and industry best practices.

• Capability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.

• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Keen attention to detail with the capability to handle multiple tasks.

• Relevant certifications such as:

• - CCNA

• - CompTIA Network+

• - CISSP
