Middle School Teacher – CTE Business, Family and Consumer Science, Computer Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• The remote Middle School CTE Business / Family and Consumer Sciences / Computer Science Teacher is a state-certified and/or alternatively certified CRE/CTE Teacher responsible for delivering specific course content in an online setting.

• Provides engaging and enriching synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.

• Demonstrates a commitment to personalizing learning for every student.

• Holds a strong belief in the potential of all students to succeed and meet high expectations.

• Differentiates instruction based on each student's level of mastery.

• Enhances course content in accordance with established policies and procedures using suitable asynchronous and synchronous tools.

• Maintains a grade book to ensure student academic integrity, makes decisions regarding student placement and promotion, and notifies administrators about concerns regarding student performance and progress.

• Prepares students for high-stakes standardized assessments.

• Establishes and nurtures positive relationships with families, regularly communicating with and responding to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner.

• Assists learning coaches/parents with student curricular and instructional challenges and troubleshooting in a virtual classroom setting.

• Keeps updated and effectively utilizes knowledge of State, National, and Industry-Specific learning standards.

• Develops effective instructional strategies and tools to supplement and enhance the provided curriculum.

• Collaborates regularly with the school and national professional learning community.

• Administers and proctors certification assessments where applicable.

• Acts as an Advisor for Career & Technical Student Organization.

• Bachelor's degree AND

• Active state teaching license AND

• Ability to pass required background checks.

• Collaborative skills to work with other teachers to analyze and generate numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data, using it to inform instructional decisions.

• Openness to receiving regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.

• Flexibility to embrace change and adapt in order to achieve excellent student outcomes.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Capability to quickly learn and adjust to new technologies and teaching platforms.

• Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
