This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver engaging and interactive synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
• Exhibit a strong belief in every student's potential to succeed and uphold high expectations.
• Tailor instruction according to each student's level of mastery.
• Enhance course content following established policies and procedures while utilizing suitable asynchronous and synchronous tools under the guidance of the principal and coach.
• Manage the grade book to ensure academic integrity, make student placement and promotion decisions, and notify administrators of any concerns regarding student performance and progress.
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments.
• Build and sustain a positive relationship with families, ensuring timely communication and responsiveness to students and learning coaches/parents.
• Assist learning coaches/parents with student curricular and instructional matters, as well as basic troubleshooting within a virtual classroom setting, in accordance with academy policies and procedures.
• Bachelor's degree AND
• Active state teaching license AND
• Ability to pass the required background check.
• Experience working with the designated age group.
• Experience assisting both adults and children in utilizing technology.
• Experience in teaching within an online (virtual) setting and/or in a traditional brick-and-mortar environment.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms.
• Capability to collaborate with fellow teachers to analyze and create numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data, using it to guide instructional choices.
• Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and proficiency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
