This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Certified Teachers will manage instructional programs virtually from their home office in Indiana.
β’ They will regularly consult with learning coaches and students via telephone, Internet, and various curriculum tools to ensure that every child successfully completes their instructional program.
β’ Responsible for timely grading, creating progress reports, and conducting parent conferences.
β’ Support the instructional program through asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction.
β’ Review curriculum and develop alternative strategies for lesson presentation to enhance student understanding, engaging directly with students and parents.
β’ Maintain regular communication with parents, students, and fellow teachers to develop and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules, assess scores, provide feedback on student work, suggest instructional strategies, monitor assignment completion, and coach on special projects.
β’ Collaborate with other teachers to ensure all students are progressing successfully through the program, providing parents with a central point of contact, and distributing tasks among teachers.
β’ Acquire a general understanding of the entire K-12 curriculum and an in-depth knowledge of the specific courses for which they are responsible.
β’ Assist students and parents with alternative strategies and provide additional help with daily assignments and projects.
β’ Communicate regularly with parents, students, and curriculum specialists using computer and telephone.
β’ Keep student records and data current, including cumulative files, online student and family information, attendance records, and documentation of all student and parent interactions.
β’ Collaborate with other teachers and staff learning specialists to create alternate enrichment activities and modifications to students' programs to enhance understanding.
β’ Design and implement virtual methods to foster a "school community."
β’ Participate in the organization and administration of State Testing as directed.
β’ Work with Advisory Teachers and School Counselors to ensure that students and families receive appropriate communications, track student progress, and meet established goals.
β’ Attend field trips and other community events organized for families.
β’ Perform other duties as assigned.
β’ Must be highly qualified and certified to teach HS Social Studies in Indiana.
β’ Licensing in Social Studies (US History, Government, and World History) for grades 9-12 is required.
β’ Strong technology proficiency, particularly with Microsoft OS, MS Office programs, and Google Suite.
β’ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
β’ A customer-focused approach is essential.
β’ High degree of flexibility is required.
β’ Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
β’ Demonstrated track record as a team player.
β’ Willingness to occasionally travel for marketing and state testing events, which may involve overnight stays.
β’ Availability to work occasional evening hours when needed to support families.
β’ Must be able to utilize a personal electronic device and an email address for 2-step authentication.
