This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.
• Deliver specialized middle school math curriculum content in an online setting.
• Provide instruction, support, and guidance while overseeing the learning process.
• Customize learning experiences and differentiate instruction based on student achievement.
• Track student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system.
• Maintain the grade book and make decisions regarding student placement and promotion.
• Notify administrators about concerns related to student performance and progress.
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments.
• Build positive relationships with families and communicate effectively with students and parents/learning coaches.
• Assist parents and learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting issues.
• Enhance course material using designated synchronous and asynchronous tools.
• Travel as needed for professional development, student assessments, and school events.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Active Idaho state teaching license / Idaho Math Teaching Certificate.
• Ability to pass a required background check.
• Residency in Idaho.
• Capacity to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.
• Ability to maintain a professional home office free from distractions during work hours.
• Experience with the designated age group (preferred).
• Experience assisting adults and children in using technology (preferred).
• Experience in teaching online/virtually or in a traditional classroom environment (preferred).
• Familiarity with online learning platforms (preferred).
• Ability to interpret and create numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data for instructional decisions.
• Willingness to receive regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
• Capability to embrace change and adapt to ensure outstanding student outcomes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Capacity to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
