This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +9 more states.
β’ Conducts research and offers content expertise, resources, and guidance on a variety of effective and innovative mathematics practices;
β’ Shares knowledge and supports educators through activities such as introducing new teaching methodologies, assessment techniques, and interpreting results, as well as preparing resource materials for district use, engaging in one-on-one discussions and coaching sessions, demonstrating lessons with pre-and post-lesson analysis, leading study groups, and participating in staff meetings and professional development;
β’ Coordinates and facilitates the piloting of instructional materials and software implementations;
β’ Monitors student progress using K12βs interactive lessons and daily assessments;
β’ Collects and evaluates student work samples;
β’ Notifies administrators of any concerns related to student performance and progress;
β’ Ensures the confidentiality of school, educators, and classrooms.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field;
β’ Five (5) years of teaching experience;
β’ Two (2) years of successful coaching or mentoring experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
β’ Strong pedagogical knowledge of math content with the ability to apply critical thinking;
β’ Capability to embrace change and adapt to ensure outstanding student outcomes;
β’ Excellent problem-solving skills and a high level of organization;
β’ Understanding of the interdependence of deadlines across multiple projects and the ability to act to uphold the integrity of others' deadlines;
β’ Ability to work independently, typically for over 40 hours per week;
β’ Willingness to travel as necessary (approximately 25% of the time) for face-to-face professional development, student assessments, and as required by the school;
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint;
β’ Quick to learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms;
β’ Ability to maintain teacher certification and professional development hours, as well as fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum;
β’ Capable of passing the required background check.
